We start with a video look back at the torment that James Storm has put the Hardys through, then we go right to the ring for our opening promo. Storm says that tonight is supposed to be Jeff Hardy's revenge, but he crippled Jeff Hardy and put Matt Hardy out last week. He knows the fans like to see Jeff fly off the top of cages, but he gave the fans what they want by sending him flying off a cage, and he wound up in the hospital. He holds up a watermelon and says it is Jeff Hardy, and he tosses it over the cage and causes it to bust open when it hits the floor. Jeff Hardy comes out to a huge reaction from the fans and says that Storm did what nobody could by putting him out, but he's back and is still standing, and the time is now to end the Revolution. Hardy starts to walk toward the cage, but Manik runs out from behind and attacks Jeff. Storm says there's always room for one more in the Revolution, and he tells Manik to break his arm. Manik tries, but Jeff hits the Twist of Fate and then immediately falls victim to another attack by Abyss, who sends him into the cage. Hardy gets ahold of a chair and beats Abyss down with it, then gets his mic back and asks the controller to lower the top onto the cage to turn it into a Lethal Lockdown match. Storm tells Hardy that he's about to find out that the hero DIES. Hardy says it's about his revenge tonight, and he leads the fans in chanting for his revenge. We look back at last week when Samoa Joe got taken out and then Rockstar Spud won the X Division Title, then we go backstage to the Beat Down Clan as MVP says that unfortunately, they have to make a statement tonight. James Storm is backstage flipping out because he's tired of Jeff Hardy, and he tells Khoya to find Jeff and dispose of him. And if Khoya doesn't dispose of Jeff Hardy, he'll dispose of Khoya. Khoya gets fired up and leaves in search of his target. X Division Title Match: Rockstar Spud vs Kow Ki Pretty basic match, Low Ki spends the entire match beating the crap out of Spud, Spud gets some offense in toward the end but ultimately gets stomped back down, Drew Galloway comes out to distract Low Ki, and Spud small packages Low Ki to retain. Winner: Rockstar Spud Pretty much what you would have expected. I don't think Spud's the guy who's gonna revive this division. We come back from commercial to the BDC in the ring and MVP saying he's tired of Drew Galloway jumping them and claiming he's doing this for the fans, and he can either come out and fight them or they'll start beating up these fans he loves. Drew comes out and asks the fans what they want to see, and the BDC keeps trying to taunt Drew into the ring, and he finally does come in, but he's not alone because he's got two big dudes with him, and the three of them take the BDC out and send them running for cover. Drew says the group is called the Rising, and I guess they're there to take the BDC out. We see a video package of Awesome Kong going nuts because she wants Taryn Terrell's shiny gold belt. The BDC is backstage and Kenny King and Low Ki are losing their minds over what just happened, but MVP is calm because he has a call to make to somebody who is ready. Brooke Tessmacher vs Awesome Kong Brooke tries to use her speed to stick and move on Kong, but Kong eventually gets ahold of her, swats her like a fly, and begins dishing out the punishment. Brooke fights valiantly as she attempts a comeback and even counters the Awesome Bomb to a facebuster, hits a top rope elbowdrop, and covers for 2. Brooke tries coming off the ropes, but Kong goozles her on the way down and hits a big chokeslam, then finishes with the Implant Buster. Winner: Awesome Kong Another dominant win by Kong, who shoves the referee away after getting her hand raised. She's not done, and picks Brooke back up and delivers another Implant Buster for good measure. She then sets up a table at ringside and prepares to plant Brooke through it when Taryn Terrell runs out and attacks Kong like she's Drew Galloway. Kong smashes her face into the barricade and tosses Terrel inside, but Terrell knocks Kong on her butt with a dropkick. An enraged Kong comes storming at Terrell, who moves out of the way and sends Kong sailing to the floor. Terrell comes out after Kong and gets tossed into the ring steps, then she powerbombs Terrell and her string thong through the table that previously had Brooke's name on it. We look back at last week when Kurt Angle beat Bobby Lashley for the TNA World Title, and we'll see his championship celebration later tonight. We then go to Austin Aries who congratulates Angle and says he knows as well as Angle what it means to be the World Champion. He holds up the briefcase and asks how cool it would be if there were two championship celebrations tonight. Jeff Hardy is backstage cutting a generic "I'm still standing" promo on James Storm when Khoya tries to sneak attack him from behind. Hardy kicks his ass and then batters him with a ladder. Hardy yells at Khoya to stay down, then breaks a glass bottle over his face when he doesn't. Hardy again tells him to stay down, and this time Khoya is too unconscious to respond. Kurt Angle comes out to the ring and thanks the fans for supporting him on his road to his 14th World Title, and his first in three and a half years. That's the longest he's gone without a World Title, and it's taken a toll on his body. For him to be able to stand here as the World Champion right now after all he's gone through has to be the proudest moment in his life so far. Angle is cut off by Ethan Carter III, who is at the entranceway with Tyrus in tow. He says Angle is an inspiration who defeated the unstoppable Bobby Lashley, but going undefeated for a year and a half while pinning Sting, Bully Ray, and even Angle is even more impressive. EC3 and Tyrus enter the ring as EC3 says he's putting Angle on notice that he's going to beat him for the TNA World Title and there's nothing Angle can do about it. Angle is incredulous that EC3 thinks he can take that title from him, but Bobby Roode comes out to join the party and stake his own claim to a title shot. He says he never got a rematch after the title was stolen from him, and he's been in the ring with Angle many times and has had some of his best matches with Angle, but Angle knows there isn't a man who deserves a shot at that title more than him. Now Eric Young is out here too, and he says nobody took that title from him but Eric Young, and he did it because he's better than him and always has been. Roode says he's beaten Young over and over, but Young says that's not going to stop him because as long as he draws breath, Roode will never hold the World Title again. Now Austin Aries comes out and says that everyone here knows what it's like to be the World Champion...well, except for EC3 because money apparently hasn't bought him the title, but he brought something out here for the celebration. He pulls a bottle of champagne out of his briefcase and says they can celebrate, but he wants to know if they'll be celebrating Angle's title win of his. Angle says that he's ready and he'll fight any of them at any time. Wait, we're not done yet because Bobby Lashley comes out to demand a rematch, and Angle says if he wants a rematch, they can do it right now. A bunch of referees and officials come out to get between them, and Tyrus and EC3 attack Austin Aries while Eric Young jumps Bobby Roode. Just because we don't have enough people out here looking for a title shot, Ken Anderson comes tearing out of the back and attacks Tyrus as we go to commercial. We're back, and it looks like we've got an impromptu six man tag... Austin Aries, Bobby Roode & Ken Anderson vs Ethan Carter III, Tyrus & Eric Young EC3 starts off getting triple teamed by the babyfaces, but he manages to tag out to Tyrus, who cleans house and traps Bobby Roode in their half of the ring. Roode plays babyface-in-peril for severl minutes until he backdrops his way out of a piledriver attempt by Young and tags in Aries. Aries and Roode double team Young, hitting several of their old tag team moves, but Young avoids the 450 splash from Aries and gets him in a figure four, forcing Aries to tap. Winners: Eric Young, Ethan Carter III & Tyrus Bram comes out to the ring and starts running Magnus down, calling him a coward for hiding behind his family. Bram says Mickie has more balls than Magnus ever will, and he's about to get to the baby when Magnus and Mickie come out. Magnus says this won't be a wrestling issue, it'll be an issue for the police if he says another word about his son. Magnus says it's bad enough that he got Bram his job here, but he draws the line with Bram putting his hands on Mickie. Bram says Magnus should come down to the ring and fight him, and Magnus says he wants to fight him in the ring, the parking lot, and anywhere and everywhere. Bram says that's fine because all he cares about is seeing the tears streaming down Mickie's eyes after he's kicked Magnus' head in. Mickie says the only tears Bram is going to see is tears of joy when Magnus pulls those pubes he calls a beard off his face and kicks his ass all over the building. Bram says Mickie will be coming home to an empty house when he takes Magnus out, but his door is always open for her. Magnus rushes the ring and Bram gets the advantage after a low blow, and he grabs his turnbuckle out from under the ring and comes after Magnus with it. Then he stops, drags Mickie into the ring instead, and says that he wants Mickie to hiss his boot like Magnus did. Actually, he's got a better idea and maybe Mickie can give him a big sloppy kiss. Magnus pops up, German suplexes Bram into next week, hammers him with right hands, then gets the turnbuckle and starts beating the crap out of Bram with it. Magnus goes to leave, but Mickie rushes Bram and attacks him until Magnus has to pull her off. Bram heads for the hills as Magnus dares him to come back and fight. We see a video package hyping the main event, as James Storm battles Jeff Hardy in Six Sides of Steel after this break! Kurt Angle is backstage and says it was tough beating Bobby Lashley once, and it'll be even tougher doing it twice when he faces him next week, but he's determined to be the best champion he can be and isn't going to be intimidated by Lashley. It's...MAIN EVENT TIME! Six Sides Of Steel: James Storm vs Jeff Hardy Storm gets the jump on Hardy by bashing him in the head with a metal trash can as he enters the ring, and then proceeds to work him over. Storm is still in control as we go to commercial. We come back and Storm is still in control, but Hardy hits something I didn't catch and gets 2 on Storm. Hardy avoids the Last Call and hits a Twist of Fate, then comes off the top rope with a Swanton...that lands on Storm's knees. Yeesh. Storm follows that up with a lungblower, and finally connects with the Last Call. Storm makes a cover, but Hardy is out at 2. A frustrated Storm grabs his cowbell and prepares to clean Hardy's clock with it, but Hardy dodges and rams Storm headfirst int oa chair Storm wedged between the ropes. Hardy hits the Twist of Fate and a twisting Swanton, but Storm is out at 2. Hardy takes his shirt off, but takes too long and allows Storm to come in and punch him in the ding ding. Storm begins perusing the weapons suspended from the top of the cage, but Hardy comes up behind him and hangs from the roof of the cage to hit a Frankensteiner into the ring. Hardy takes a trash can lid and bashes Storm over the head with it, nails him again, then uses Storm's cowbell to crack Storm. Another Twist of Fate, then Hardy climbs up the cage, swings off the roof to gain momentum, and uses it to swing himself down onto Storm with a high velocity splash for 3. Winner: Jeff Hardy Great match and I liked the finish, good way to bring Hardy back after his yearly vacation. We don't waste any time, going right into the action! Ultimate X/Tag Team Title Match: The Wolves vs DJ Z & Jessie Godderz vs Manik & Sanada There's obviously no tags in a match like this, so everyone is in the ring. They all try to jump the Wolves right off the bell, but the Wolves quickly gain control and dominate all four opponents. Angelina tries to distract them by shaking her ass at them, but the Wolves are wise to her game and go for the belts instead. Jessie stops that and nails Eddie with a dropkick, then press slams Davey. Now the four challengers are all on the same page and working Davey over while stranding Eddie out on the floor. Manik tries to sneak up on to the cables to grab the belts, but Jessie gets great height on another dropkick that knocks Manik to the mat. Jessie and DJ Z try boosting one another up to the belts to try and get them without climbing, then both heel teams try the chicken fight thing, and then the Wolves come in and dropkick all four of them in one fell swoop. Eddie pulls Manik down from another try for the belts, and powerbombs him onto Davey's knees. DJ Z gets shoved through the scaffold, then Jessie flattens both Wolves with a double clothesline. Jessie goes up for the belts, but Sanada blows the green mist in his face and starts climbing. Eddie knocks Sanada down onto the top rope, gives him a super Frankensteiner, Davey gives Manik the top rope double stomp, and the Wolves both climb and grab the belts at the same time for the win. Winner: The Wolves Good match and I liked how they kept the spots to a minimum, but I would have probably gotten more into it if I took either challenging team seriously. We look back at earlier tonight when Kurt Angle and Bobby Lashley each arrived at the arena. They'll face off for the TNA World Title in tonight's main event! We see Kurt Angle backstage warming up for tonight's match, then we go to the ring to hear from Austin Aries. He's been out for two weeks because the BDC put him on the shelf, but he wants the briefcase he put his career on the line for back. Samoa Joe and Low Ki come out to the ring with the briefcase and Low Ki says Aries won't be challenging for any World Titles while they have it. Aries says the briefcase has no legal value to him, but Low Ki also stole the X Division Title from him, so he'll put the briefcase on the line against the X Division Title, winner take all. Low Ki says that sounds fair enough...(Samoa Joe knocks Aries on his butt with a right jab)...but if Aries wants his briefcase back, he'll have to go through Samoa Joe. We'll see that match after this commercial! Austin Aries vs Samoa Joe We're back and they are going at it hot and heavy as Joe flattens Aries with a gourdbuster before ramming him shoulder first into the ringpost. Aries tumbles out to the floor and Joe follows him out to dish out more punishment. Joe brings Aries back inside and puts him in a nerve hold, Aries gets out but Joe connects with an inverted atomic drop and a running boot for 2. Joe misses a senton and Aries mounts a comeback, hanging Joe between the ropes and hitting a neckbreaker to the apron. Aries comes off the top with a missile dropkick, hits the IED in the corner, and goes for the brainbuster. Joe blocks and goes to a Fujiwara armbar, and the crowd is solidly behind Aries as he makes his way to the ropes to force a break. Joe puts Aries on the top rope for the Muscle Buster, but Aries escapes, hits a roaring elbow, drills Joe with another that drives Joe to the floor, and Aries comes through the ropes with a heat seeking missile. Low Ki suddenly comes out of nowhere and blindsides Aries, causing the ref to call for the bell. Winner: Austin Aries by DQ Joe holds Aries so Low Ki can nail him with the briefcase, but Aries moves and Ki lays Joe out. Aries nails Low Ki, gets his briefcase, and holds it high as he marches back up the aisle. Suddenly, Rockstar Spud comes marching out with his briefcase and hands it over to the referee, so I guess we have an impromptu title match! X Division Title Match: Low Ki vs Rockstar Spud Spud quickly hits the Acid Drop and covers Low Ki to claim his first championship. Winner and new X Division Champion: Rockstar Spud Did not see that coming! Great moment for Spud as he celebrates with the crowd, and a terrific way to end his trip to the UK on a high note after last week's disappointment. Now we see Bobby Lashley backstage warming up for tonight's main event, then we go out to the parking lot where Brutus Magnus is beating the crap out of Bram. They fight out onto the street, then back into the building and out to the ring. A bunch of officials come out to separate them and Bram gets a mic to tell Magnus he said he'd take everything away from him, and this draws Mickie James out to the ring. She stands between the two men looking back and forth at them, and my Stupid Heel Turn Alarm is going off, but she eases my fears by kicking a field goal through Bram's uprights, then Magnus drags Bram up to the entryway and f'ing CRUSHES Bram with a powerbomb onto the ramp that I think I heard from here in New Jersey. That was a BADASS powerbomb! We go to a video package of Eddie Edwards, Al Snow, Ethan Carter III, Mike Tenay, Tommy Dreamer, and MVP sharing their thoughts on tonight's title match, then we go back to the ring for another title match... Knockouts Title Match: Taryn Terrell vs Gail Kim vs Awesome Kong Gail and Taryn go right after Kong, but Kong powers them both off and starts to stalk Taryn. Gail comes in with a nice spinning kick to the abdomen, but Kong shrugs it off and tosses Gail into Taryn, then gets Gail in a sleeper and just flings her across the ring. Taryn leaps onto Kong, who again easily tosses her off before running both girls over with shoulderblocks. Kong goes for the Implant Buster, Gail rolls upward to try for a Frankensteiner, but Taryn rolls them both up for 2. Kong with a big double clothesline that wipes both opponents out, then knocks Gail out to the floor. Taryn again comes back at Kong and nails her with a missile dropkick, then comes off the top with a crossbody that Kong easily powers out of at 2. Kong blocks the Stunner, but misses a second rope splash, allowing Terrell to hit a Diamond Cutter for a very close 2. Kong quickly bounces back to her feet and Terrell goes all Drew Killer on Kong, knocking her out to the floor after a flurry of shots. She tries to go to the top rope, but Gail piefaces her off, takes Kong out with a dive, then goes back up to battle Taryn on the top rope. Gail hits a top rope sunset bomb for 2 on Taryn, but Taryn counters Eat DaFeet to a rollup for 3. Winner: Taryn Terrell That match was terrific! Kong stares angrily at Terrell from the aisle and Terrell looks terrified as she realizes she's going to have to face Kong again. James Storm is backstage and says it ends with Matt Hardy tonight, and he's going to flip the coin to decide what happens to Hardy tonight: if it's heads, Hardy survives, and if it's tails...well, we can think of what happened to his brother. Storm flips the coin and looks at it, then says that he can't wait to tell Hardy what it landed on. We see a video package hyping tonight's title match, then the Mystery Cameraman asks Kurt Angle for his thoughts on his match with Lashley. Angle says it's been over a year since he's competed for the TNA World Title, and unfortunately it's going to be against the most dominant man in the business. But tonight he'll show Lashley blah blah blah going to take the World Title. No DQ Match: James Storm vs Matt Hardy Hardy wastes no time going after Storm, and pummels him with right hands and then gives Manik a shot for good measure. Hardy tosses a bunch of weapons into the ring and uses a trash can to put Storm's lights out. Hardy tries to go to the top rope, but the Revolution sticks their noses in again and trip Hardy up, allowing Storm to superplex him for 2. Abyss pulls one of his cute little bags out from under the ring and hands it to Storm, who opens the bag (with some difficulty) and pours out...thumbtacks! Storm puts Hardy up top for another superplex, but Hardy shoves Storm onto the tacks and comes off the second rope with a howling elbow and covers for 2. Hardy hits the Twist of Fate and makes a cover, but the ref takes long enough finding a spot without tacks that Abyss is able to get into position and pull the referee out of the ring. Khoya pulls Hardy out and goes after him with a chair, but Hardy gets ahold of it and uses it on Khoya, lays Manik out with a Twist of Fate on the floor, and walks right into the Last Call as he reenters the ring. Hardy kicks out at 2 and Storm is irate, and he takes too long picking Hardy up and falls victim to the Twist of Fate. Hardy is too weak to go for a cover, and Abyss hands Storm his rope and cowbell while Hardy recovers. Sanada blows some more mist in Hardy's face and Storm nails Hardy with the bell, then hits two more Last Calls for the win. Winner: James Storm Really good match and Hardy fought valiantly, but couldn't overcome the numbers. The Revolution holds Hardy while Storm gets a mic and says he is the reason Jeff is out of wrestling, and now Matt can visit him in the hospital. Storm cracks Hardy in the skull with the bell and knocks him out, then says there's always room for one more in the Revolution. Kurt Angle is backstage, and he's...STRETCHING! And Bobby Lashley is backstage, and he's...ROCKING OUT TO MARIAH CAREY! Okay, it might have been something else, but either way, they'll face off for the TNA World Title after this commercial break! It's...MAIN EVENT TIME! They're really giving this the big match treatment, right down to following Angle and Lashley through the backstage area on their way to the ring. TNA World Title Match: Bobby Lashley vs Kurt Angle Angle starts off going behind on Lashley to a waistlock but gets shrugged off by the champion. Angle is having a tough time dealing with Lashley's power as Lashley shoots a single leg and takes Angle down, but Angle gets out, hits an overhead release suplex, and a series of rolling German suplexes. Angle takes Lashley down and goes to an anklelock, but Lashley makes it to the ropes quickly and then is promptly clotheslined out to the floor. This is the first time Lashley has been dominated like this in TNA, and he rolls in to break the count and goes right back out to the floor. Angle goes after him, but the champion elevates Angle and drops him chest first onto the barricade. They go back inside and Lashley covers for 2, then rips Angle's head off with a clothesline and goes to a top wristlock. Angle gets his elbow up as Lashley charges in, then comes off the second rope with a shoulderblock and both men are down. Angle starts firing off right hands and more German suplexes, but Lashley elevates Angle again and plants him with a spinebuster for 2. Angle sidesteps a spear and hits more rolling German suplexes, and then more, and then still more. Angle is throwing everything he's got at the champ, and the straps ocme down as Angle goes to the anklelock. Lashley is in pain, but he isn't tapping out yet. He kicks Angle off and then quickly regains his feet and hits the powerslam for 2 as we go to commercial. We're back, and Angle sidesteps another spear, takes Lashley down, and turns him back into the anklelock. Angle has him right in the middle of the ring, but Lashley rolls through and sends Angle crashing into the corner. Lashley sets for another spear attempt, but Angle gets his boot up in Lashley's face and hits the Hacker Slam for 2. Lashley catches Angle with another clothesline and pops him up for a slightly delayed vertical suplex, and then sets for the spear yet again. Lashley finally connects, but Angle somehow manages to kick out at 2, and Lashley is in disbelief (wherever that is). Lashley decides to go outside his comfort zone and goes to the top, Angle tries to run up the ropes for the suplex, Lashley fights him off and comes off the top with a frogsplash, and Angle rolls out of the way. Eh, Lashley would have overshot him by like four feet anyway. Now Angle goes to the top and comes off with a crossbody, but Lashley rolls through and catches Angle in his own anklelock! Angle is really close to the ropes, though, and he's pretty much able to extend his arm and grab the rope right away. Angle dodges another charge and hits another Hacker Slam, Lashley is out at 2 again and catches Angle in a cross armbreaker on the break. This time he has Angle positioned away from the ropes, but Angle rolls out and gets the anklelock yet again. Lashley goes for the ropes, but Angle drags Lashley back ot the middle of the ring, grapevines Lashley's leg, and cranks on it for all he's worth. Lashley fights like hell and nearly passes out, but has the wherewithal to tap the title away before he goes out. Winner and New TNA World Champion: Kurt Angle Terrific match, both guys really brought it and they sure as hell left it all in the ring. Great match to wrap up an awesome night of wrestling. Angle helps Lashley to his feet and they share a hug before Angle climbs the corner to celebrate with the fans. The new champion high fives the fans on his way to the back and raises the belt up one more time by the entranceway as we call it a week. TNA Impact Wrestling Report " 11/12/14
November 13, 2014 (07:30) [ Indexed from Wrestling-Edge ]
We start off with a video package looking back at last week's chicanery as MVP stole Bobby Lashley's title rematch and lost, then we go to the arena. Bobby Lashley is backstage and catches Kenny King arriving at the building and asks where MVP is. King says he doesn't know, so Lashley grabs him by the arm and repeats his question. King pulls his arm away and says he doesn't know and to chill out. King walks off and Lashley throws stuff around. James Storm comes out with Sanada and Manik and says he gave somebody the chance to pledge to the revolution, but his time is up and he wants his answer now. Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards come out to the ring and Eddie starts to tell Storm that no matter how many times he asks, the answer will be the same. Davey pulls the mic out of Eddie's hand and says he can talk for himself and make his own decisions, and he thought about how a lot of the things Storm said make sense, but the conclusion he came to is that Storm is out of his mind. Davey is a wolf, and his answer is no. Storm is very sorry to hear that, and he unleashes his gang on the Wolves. He chokes Davey with his bullrope, then ties up Davey's ankle with the rope. Eddie is out after taking a beating from Manik and Sanada, then Storm takes a chair and smashes Davey's knee with it. Davey screams in pain as TNA officials run in to break it up and herd Storm and the Revolution to the back. Storm heads to the back, but comes out with the long-forgotten briefcase for an anytime, anywhere shot at the TNA World Tag Team Title. He knocks Eddie out with the briefcase, then relentlessly beats Davey's knee with it. He shoves the briefcase at the referee and tells him to count, and the bell rings! TNA World Tag Team Title Match: The Wolves vs James Storm & ?????? Not sure who Storm's partner is in this one, but he's in the ring beating up Eddie so I guess we'll find out in a bit. Storm goes for a quick cover on Eddie, but Eddie kicks out at 2, so Storm hits the Eye of the Storm and grabs a microphone. He tells Eddie that he told him to stay out of it, but Abyss' music hits and the Monster himself comes stalking out. Gee, I wonder if anyone believes he's going to help the Wolves. He tears his jacket off and stares Storm down, then Storm tells the Wolves to meet the newest pledge of the Revolution. Abyss tags in, chokeslams Eddie, and flattens him with the Black Hole Slam. He tags Storm in instead of going for the cover, and Storm slowly comes in and pins Eddie for the win. Winners and New TNA World Tag Team Champions: James Storm & Abyss Storm picks Davey up and gives him the Eye of the Storm as well, then leaves with both belts over his shoulders and his crew in tow. Madison Rayne vs Taryn Terrell Terrell jumps Madison as soon as she gets in the ring and pummels her senseless. Madison tries to catch a break on the floor, but Terrell comes out and takes Madison right out with a crossbody off the ring apron. She picks Madison up and rams her into the apron, then rolls her inside. Madison asks for a time out and tries a cheap shot, but Terrell catches the boot, spins Madison out, and takes her out with a clothesline. Terrell goes to the second rope, but Madison pulls her out by the ankle and Terrell hits the mat hard. Madison catches Terrell in a three quarter nelson (those of you who only know the move from pro wrestling probably know it as a cravata) and tosses Terrell to the mat for a couple of two counts. Madison chokes Terrell on the middle rope, stops to wave at the fans, then whips her to the ropes and takes her down with a double chop to the throat. Madison humps Terrell's head into the mat, then just drills her with a kick to the chest and covers for 2. Madison puts Terrell on the second rope, but Terrell boots her in the chest and comes out of the corner with a clothesline. Terrell makes the fiery babyface comeback with a series of clotheslines and a neck snap for 2. Madison cradles Terrell and puts her feet on the ropes, but Terrell kicks out anyway and snaps Madison over with a vertical suplex. Terrell goes to the top rope and tries a crossbody, but Madison moves and Terrell hits hard. Madison cradles Terrell with a handful of tights, but the referee catches her and stops the count. Madison quickly regains control with some boots to the head and goes for the Rayne Check, but Terrell gets out and hits a weird version of the Ace Crusher for the win. Winner: Taryn Terrell Good match, definitely better than that first match they had that just totally fell apart. More like what I expect out of them. Bobby Lashley comes into Kurt Angle's office andwants his rematch with Bobby Roode, but Angle says Roode is off tonight doing promotional work for the company. Lashley tries to stare Angle down, and Angle says he wouldn't try that, but Lashley says it's what Angle wants, and walks off. Manik finds the Indian dude backstage and says it's time for him to meet a very powerful man. He pats Indian Guy on the back and they walk off. Kenny King is in the ring to talk about a few things, like MVP and Bobby Lashley. He says it doesn't mean anything that MVP isn't here because he's on a photo shoot, but Lashley is pissed off at the fans, that fake charlatan Kurt Angle, and he's really pissed off at Bobby Lashley. The good thing about Bobby Lashley is he's good when he's pissed off, and he's going to get that World Title back soon. But he wants to squash this thing with Sgt. Chris Melendez, so he wants Melendez to come out and talk to him. Melendez comes out with Ken Anderson to a big USA chant. King says people call him unpatriotic because of what he did in New York, but he loves America but thinks Melendez is a fraud. Anderson takes exception to that because Melendez is a hero and an inspiration (another USA chant), and he volunteered to go to Iraq and have his leg blown off so King can come out in that ridiculous outfit and run his mouth. King tells Anderson that God gave man one mouth and one a-hole, and he's not sure which one Anderson is using right now, but he's talking to peg leg. King says Melendez hasn't earned the right to say he can compete on the same level as Kenny King. He came out here alone, so if Melendez agrees to let his little blond girlfriend sit at home, they can settle this. Melendez says that Anderson and the people believe in him (another USA chant), and when he steps in the ring with Kenny King and they square off again, King will learn why he doesn belong here and that he's better than King. King says that he learned at a young age that role models are like Santa Claus: they don't exist. He smacks Anderson in the head and runs. Gail Kim and Taryn Terrell are backstage whining to Kurt Angle that Havok keeps beating them up, so Angle makes a three way match between the two of them and Havok for next week. Elimination Match: Jessie Godderz, DJ Z, Velvet Sky & Angelina Love vs Knux, Crazzzzzzzzy Steve & Rebel They should just have Knux go in and squash Angelina and Velvet right off the bat. It's legal, right? But they decide to play nice and let Angelina go at it with Rebel, who has like thirty econds of experience to Angelina's decade or so. Rebel gets the early advantage regardless, but tries a split move and Angelina dodges and dropkicks Rebel in the face for 2. Crazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzy Steve smacks Angelina on the ass, and Angelina is so shocked that Rebel comes in with a schoolgirl rollup for 3. Angelina Love is eliminated. Knux comes in and cartwheel dropkicks Jessie for 2, Jessie tries yanking Knux down but Knux kips up and nails Jessie with a crossbody. DJ Z cheapshots Knux and blind tags in to hit a crossbody, Knux catches DJ Z, but Jessie dropkicks Knux and then holds his leg down from the floor so DJ Z can pin him. Knux is eliminated. Crazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzy Steve small packages DJ Z and eliminates him. DJ Z is eliminated. Velvet goes for a sunset flip on Rebel, but Rebel uses her flexibility to reverse to a really bad rollup for 2. Velvet distracts the referee so Angelina can spray hairspray in Rebel's face. Velvet hits In Your Face for 3. Rebel is eliminated. DJ Z slips back in and nails Crazzzzzzzzzzzzzzy Steve, then Jessie repeatedly presses Steve and gorilla slams him. Velvet tags in and covers Steve, but Steve kicks out and gets a makeout cradle on Velvet for 3. Velvet Sky is eliminated. Jessie comes in and clotheslines Steve, but Steve rolls over Jessie with a sunset flip for 2. Steve tries a Frankensteiner, but Jessie powers him up and hits the Last Ride. Jessie looks pissed, but does a nonchalant one hand cover and only gets 2. Jessie stomps the heck out of Steve and puts him on top for a superplex, but stops to pose and gets shoved off. Steve comes off the top and F'ing SPIKES Jessie with a tornado DDT to score the last elimination. Winner and sole survivor: Crazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzy Steve We don't waste time digesting that one before we go backstage where Borash is telling Eric Young that it still hurts but the swelling is going down. Spud comes in and asks how Borash is doing, then offers to be in Young's corner tonight. Young says it'll be good to have someone watching his back for a change when he faces Tyrus one-on-one later tonight. We look back at earlier tonight when James Storm and Abyss won the tag title, then we go backstage where Storm tells Abyss that he's been here as long as he has and he'll guide him toward the truth. Manik brings the Indian Guy in and Storm spits at him and tells him there's a price to be paid for his salvation, and tells Manik to get him out of here. He whispers something in Manik's ear and sends him off, then whispers something to Abyss, who does an evil smile. Tyrus vs Eric Young Eric uses his speed to outmaneuver Tyrus, but tries to slam him and Tyrus puts the brakes on that and hammers Young. Tyrus hits an avalanche, eats Young's elbow on the second try, but Young tries a move off the second rope and Tyrus just shoves him backward into the corner. Young rolls to the floor and EC3 wanders over to him, but Spud runs over and tells EC3 not to touch him. Tyrus brings Young inside and Young hits a jawbreaker, but he tries another slam and Tyrus falls on top for 2. Tyrus hits a t-bone suplex, another avalanche, and an over-the-shoulder Cutter. EC3 tells Tyrus to drag Young to the corner, so he does and goes to the second rope for the Vader Bomb. Young moves out of the way and Spud rallies the fans as Young makes his comeback. Young takes Tyrus off his feet with a flying forearm and finally hits the slam, Spud nails EC3 when he tries to grab Young, and Young goes to the top rope. Tyrus nails Young and goes up for a superplex, but Young fights Tyrus off and hits the top rope elbow for the win. Winner: Eric Young Boy, are they making Tyrus look like crap or what? Bad enough he got pinned in the tournament, now he got slammed and pinned clean by the joke champion. Bobby Lashley makes Tyrus look even more useless by coming in and spearing both Young and Spud, then he gets a chair and Pillmanizes Young's arm with it. Then he keeps the chair on Young's arm and puts him in the Crippler Crossface to send a message to Roode, but Austin Aries runs out and chases Lashley off with a chair of his own. Aries gets a mic and says if Lashley wants to go around jumping people from behind, he'll be proactive and challenge Lashley to face him right here tonight. Lashley tells Aries that he's got it as he backs up the ramp. Brittany is backstage with Sam Shaw and says she has something to tell him, but he probably won't be happy. Shaw asks what it is, and Brittany says Gunner came onto her. Shaw gets his KILL look on his face and stalks away as Brittany smiles after him. Samoa Joe comes out as we see video of him getting hauled out in an ambulance last week after getting injured in the match against the Hardys, and Joe says he's not medically cleared to compete tonight and for quite some time. When he won the X Division Title, his goal was to reinvigorate the greatest division in TNA because it's the division about no limits, innovation, and the division for the true wrestler for the true wrestling fan. The fans support TNA week after week and the wrestlers competing for the best title in wrestling, and they deserve better. He's not one to shy away from making difficult decisions, even ones that hurt, so he's vacating the X Division Title tonight. He's sure another champion will be crowned, but that title is a beacon to him because he will go home and get better, and whoever wins that belt, he will be coming for him. Next week: Low Ki, Manik, Crazzy Steve, and DJ Z will go at it to fill the vacant X Division Title! We look back at last week's dust up between Bram and Magnus and Tommy Dreamer and Devon. Bram is challenging Dreamer to a one-on-one fight next week because his time is up and the pipes are calling. No DQ Match: Sam Shaw vs Gunner Brittany distracts Gunner on his way to the ring so Shaw can jump him, Gunner tries to fight back but Shaw rams him back-first into the ring apron and then smashes his skull into the post. Shaw takes a wild swing with a chair and Gunner ducks and hits a fallaway slam on the floor. Gunner grabs the chair and uses it to massage Shaw's abs, but Brittany distracts Gunner again and Shaw dropkicks the chair in Gunner's face. Shaw goes for the choke, but Gunner breaks it by ramming Shaw into the corner. Shaww dodges a charge and fires right hands into Gunner's midsection, but Gunner reverses a whip and backdrops Shaw into next week. They go out to the floor where Gunner f'ing BASHES Shaw over the back with a chair, but then Shaw elevates Gunner and hotshots him onto the ring steps. Shaw sends Gunner inside and tries to suplex him out of the ring onto the steps, but Gunner reverses and suplexes Shaw in. Gunner slams Shaw hard, then gets yet another chair (the ring is full of them now), hammers Shaw with it, and throws it on the pile with the others. Gunner puts Shaw on top for a superplex, Shaw tries to fight out, but Gunner hits the superplex. Both men hit the chairs actually, but Gunner makes it up first, he goes for the finish but decides to mess with Shaw more just to piss Brittany off. He takes Shaw to the apron and powerbombs him on the steps, then tells Brittany "THAT'S WHAT YOU GEEEEEEEEEET!" He rolls Shaw inside, tells Brittany that Shaw is a piece of crap, then Brittany follows Gunner into the ring and kicks him in the ding ding. That was quite a punt. Brittany tries dragging Shaw on top of Gunner, but Gunner is up and grabs Brittany's ankle. Shaw recovers and hammers Gunner with the chair, tells Brittany that he's got this, and promtly gets picked up and F5'd onto the chairs. Gunner covers and gets the hard fought win. Winner: Gunner Great brawl, match of the night so far. Austin Aries and Bobby Lashley are backstage, and they're...WALKING! The main event is up next! Bobby Lashley vs Austin Aries Aries quickly hits the IED right off the bell and goes for the brainbuster, but Lashley easily blocks and reverses to a big gourdbuster. Aries dodges a charge and rolls Lashley over, drives a series of knees into Lashley's skull, and gets the big man in the Last Chancery. Lashley easily gets out of that, Aries gets him on the floor and tries a slingshot crossbody, but Lashley catches him. Lashley tries to ram Aries into the post, but Aries slips out the back and rams Lashley into the post and then hits the IED against the guardrail. Lashley rolls inside and Aries comes off the top with a missile dropkick, but Lashley just brushes it aside and hammers Aries with a big back elbow. Lashley rips Aries' head off with a huge clothesline as we go to commercial. We're back and Lashley just launches Aries over his head with a belly to belly suplex. Then he does it a bunch more times. Think Lesnar-Cena from Summerslam except release belly to belly suplexes instead of Germans. Aries is just dead as Lashley waits for him to get to his feet, but Aries somehow manages to get his boot up and then goes to the top. Lashley recovers quickly and hammers Aries with right hands and goes for a top rope release suplex. Aries fights Lashley off and this time connects with the missile dropkick. Aries hits a series of forearm and elbow strikes, Lashley blocks another brainbuster attempt, but Aries with more strikes and actually drops Lashley to the mat with a big roaring elbow. Aries hits a neckbreaker over the middle rope to drive Lashley to the floor, and then nearly puts Lashley through the guardrail with the heat seeking missile. Aries rolls Lashley inside and goes to the top, but Lashley recovers and shoves Aries off the top and onto the ring steps. Lashley picks Aries up and just launches him back into the steps, then chucks him across ringside. He sets up for the spear on the floor and nails it, but then just dawdles around ringside and the referee counts both men out. DOUBLE COUNTOUT Lashley keeps up the assault, press slamming Aries onto the entry ramp and then trapping Aries in the Crippler Crossface. Aries is out as three referees try unsuccessfully to get him off, and he finally releases and chases them off before looking into the camera and calling Bobby Roode's name as we call it a week.
